Award-winning management consultant specialising in policy implementation for international trade support, healthcare management Systems, workforce development (Equalities) and corporate social impact. I currently work as an independent contractor with NHS Trusts in London and West Midlands focused on organisational development, mentoring, coaching (senior and frontline staff), service improvement and senior leadership appointments. I am also an adviser for Ministry of Health Anitgua and Barbuda and OCES Health Unit both roles involved close working relationships with NHS Blood & Transplant International Services. I was an IPAA (Independent Assessor) between November 2003 and January 2014. I was extensively involved in the selection processes for both ministerial and senior leadership appointments of Chairs and NEDs of Trusts and SHAs, Governing Councils, Expert Panels and Patient & Public Advisory Groups. I am currently an Independent Panel member for the Ministry of Justice (ministerial appointments). I also have extensive and accomplished cross-sectoral expertise (Local Authority Regeneration, Business Link and UK Trade & Investment) as a change management, project management and policy implementation consultant. This considerable range of knowledge and experience enables me to provide expert advice to senior leaders and decision-makers. I utilise my influencing and communication skills amongst senior leaders by focusing on policy and practice, and provide challenge to intended decisions based on good and ethical practice. My mentoring and coaching style has been taken well-established private sector practices, such as collaboration, competitiveness and entrepreneurship, and applied them within diverse occupational groups, organisations and local communities. I have demonstrated my abilities as a skilled facilitator and expert advisor, following my appointment by the Appointments Commission as the Independent Assessor for Healthcare for London Patient & Public Advisory Group ( PPAG). This was a new body supported by London PCTS and SHA with a tight timetable for a public consultation process. I advised Healthcare for London on the complete process of recruitment and selection and then facilitated the work of the group, including chairing a public meeting and master classes. Following the successful implementation of this London-wide body. I was also the adviser for Health for North East London People’s Platform and supported the present NHS London Clinical Senate Patient & Public Voice (PPV) Group. I have a personal and professional commitment to equality and inclusion, for which I have a formidable track record of achievement at senior levels in Health and Higher Education sectors. I have been responsible for facilitating BME, diversity & equality networks and advisory groups on behalf Royal College of Nursing, Imperial College London, St George’s University Hospitals NHS Trust, Guy’s & St Thomas’s and University Southampton Foundation Trust. I was appointed by Merton, Sutton, Wandsworth & Croydon Local Pharmaceutical Committee’s to work with their CEO and advise on the approach to public engagement & patient experience including establishing a Community Pharmacy Patient & Public Advisory Group. This was a success improving collaboration and relationships GPs, Nursing and LINKS/Healthwatch. I have also held non-executive and trustee roles for North West London Community Foundation, North West London Chamber of Commerce, RAFFA International Development Agency and Vice-Chairman, Talawa Theatre.
